Dr. Frederick A. Curro, DMD, PhD
Director of Pharmacotherapeutic/Regulatory Research
Dr. Curro is the Director of Pharmacotherapeutic/Regulatory Research at the Bluestone Center for Oral Health Research. He is a clinical pharmacologist/regulatory and medical affairs specialist with over 30 years experience in the pharmaceutical/biotechnology sector. Dr. Curro served most recently as Vice President/Director of Corporate Clinical and Medical Affairs at GlaxoSmithKline and at Block Drug Company, Inc., and as Executive Director of Clinical Research and Operations for Transkaryotic Therapies, Inc., a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based proteomic/genetic biotechnology company. His unique background in medicine, chronic pain and pharmacology brings to the Bluestone Center a rich and broad expertise in the field of Pharmacotherapeutic Research. He has conducted all phases of clinical trials from I-IV. Dr. Curro is a member of the United States Pharmacopeia Expert Advisory Committee on Dermatology and Special Populations/Clinical Pharmacology for 2005-2010.
