Treatment of Facial Wrinkles
Do you have facial wrinkles?
If you are a female at least 18 years of age or older and are looking for correction of nasolabial folds (wrinkles), you may be eligible to participate in this research study at no cost to you. * The purpose of this study is to compare two injectable products for nasolabial folds. This treatment will temporary improve your skin wrinkles and/or tissue depression around your nose and mouth. It will temporarily diminish the look of wrinkles and soft tissue depressions in the treated area. This study consists of 6 visits at our study site, over a 7 month period. Qualifying participants can be compensated for time and travel expenses. Study Background: s
Folds are formed by facial expressions, like deep wrinkles. The nasolabial fold is usually a deepening of a single facial line where the expression occurs. The naso-labial folds forms from the nose to the sides of the mouth.
Individuals frequently seek correction of facial contour deformities due to age or disease-related factors. Wrinkles, folds, and scars are often treated with surgery or implantation, and in these cases, correction of these deformities is the goal of the treatment.
Alternative treatments using derma fillers can also be used for temporary correction of wrinkles. Dermal fillers are designed to smooth away moderate to severe facial wrinkles and folds without the need of surgery. It cannot, however, stop the process of aging. It is intended to be used for wrinkle reduction, tissue augmentation and volumizing of the skin around the nose and mouth. s
