Bluestone Trials

Dental Implant Study

Tooth Extraction Study
Status: Currently recruiting subjects.

The purpose of this research study is to evaluate bone level changes in the upper jaw following alveolar ridge preservation compared to extraction alone. ARP is performed at the time the tooth is removed. The tooth socket is filled with bone graft material and is covered with a collagen membrane barrier. The collagen membrane barrier prevents the gum tissue from growing into the tooth socket (space remaining after a tooth is removed), while the underlying graft material encourages your own bone to grow into that area.

Participants 18 and older who require two tooth extractions in the 2nd pre-molar, or 1st or 2nd molar region, on each side of the upper jaw might qualify for this study.
